While the majority of the region will remain rain-free today, we can’t rule out an isolated shower or thunderstorm during the afternoon and evening hours.  Additional development of “splash and dash” showers and thunderstorms are possible during the afternoon and evening as we progress through the weekend and into early next week.  A couple stronger storms are possible over the weekend in spots with locally heavy rainfall a good bet!  We’ll dry things out and really begin to cool things off by mid week, setting up the stage for a very refreshing holiday!
