The region has already dealt with a couple rounds of showers and thunderstorms this morning. Drier air will build in from west to east as we progress through late morning, but a cold front still sits to our northwest. It’s possible as this front drops southeast this afternoon that we deal with another round of thunderstorms. Best storm chances appear to remain south and east of Indianapolis this afternoon, but we can’t rule out a scattered storm anywhere across central Indiana. This front will help usher in another cool, dry air mass with much lower humidity for mid and late week. Storm and rain chances will build over the weekend into early next week, but the big story next week will be the developing unseasonably cool air mass that will blast in here Tuesday (highs may not make it out of the 60s a day or two next week).
