Quick post during halftime of the Auburn/ Wisconsin game (WAR EAGLE)!!!
A full 7-day forecast will be posted later tonight.
Just wanted to touch on the bitter shot of air inbound next week and a couple opportunities (at least) for light snow.
1. Sunday with backlash snow showers as colder air quickly moves right back in behind the low pressure system that will deliver a Saturday AM wintry mix then rain.
2. Monday night-Tuesday as low pressure and the arctic front move through the region. Locally heavy snow bursts and embedded squalls can be associated with arctic blasts such as we’ll “welcome” Tuesday.
Cold Pattern Continues:
1.) After a brief spike in the thermometer Saturday night/ Sunday morning, the upcoming 7-10 day period will be spent below freezing.
2.) A one-two shot of cold air will move in Sunday and Monday and again Tuesday and Wednesday. It’s the second arctic blast that’ll be particularly nasty. Both the GFS and European data suggest temperatures will fall below zero and highs Wednesday may struggle to make it out of the single digits.
Much more later! Happy New Year!
